On September 13th 2012 the world can pay their tributes to a great man, Neil Armstrong. Neil’s memorial service will be viewable online via live streaming video via NASA TV as well as NASAs website from the Washington National Cathedral. The service will begin at 10 am EST on SEptember 13th.

The National Cathedral houses a moon rock that Neil brought back from his fateful mission on July, 20th 1969.

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will be speaking at the event as well as other dignitaries.

Neil died last week at the age of 82 years old after complications from heart surgery. Neil will always be remembered for taking “one giant leap for mankind” as he stepped off the Apollo 11 lunar lander Eagle and onto the surface of the moon on July 20, 1969.
